In line with the country's direction to achieve the status of a developed country, the number of architects as a professional workforce in the field of physical development is very much needed. The construction industry has an important role in contributing to the national economy.
The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programme is a two-year full-time postgraduate programme in UNIMAS, crafted to meet the high standard and demanding expectations of the industry and the academia.
*Full accreditation of LAM Part II shall be obtained by the University before the graduation of first cohort.

Full-Time student: RM18,472.00
International student
Full-Time student: RM38,120.00
Fees include registration, tuition and course materials for the duration of the programme. Further payment will be required if the students extend their studies.
Student supported by the goverment, employer or other sponsor should bring a confirmation letter by addressing to UNIMAS that the fee will be paid directly by the sponsor.
The Programme
The Master of Architecture program is a professional degree equivalent to the LAM Part II professional qualification. It is a continuation of LAM Part I, which is also offered under the Bachelor Science (Hons) Architecture programme at the Faculty of Built Environment UNIMAS.
The Master of Architecture programm is taught with a structured curriculum specific to research-based architectural design studio projects. This emphasis allows the intellectual and theoretical basis in architectural projects to contribute to the development of national architecture. The issue of sustainable development is also integrated with technical, scientific and technological aspects so that it can be strengthened through the structure of the syllabus.
- To produce semi-professional graduates capable of advancing technology and driving innovation in the field of architecture.

- To produce semi-professional graduates who are versatile, entrepreneurial, responsible and knowledgeable in the building industry for the progress of the nation.
- Describe key architectural works, cultural movements and ideas, their theoretical and cultural context and relevance to design.
- Apply the technical aspects of architectural technology to analyze, evaluate and make informed judgments on a wide range of architectural problems and situations.
- Integrate architectural knowledge into socially meaningful design responses.
- Integrate a body of practical and theoretical knowledge into design with emphasis on human needs and requirements.
- Demonstrate and articulate design skills from concept formation until design development.
- Communicate complex design ideas through verbal, visual, digital and written media.
- Derive cost implication of design options to evaluate environmental factors affecting the built environment.
- Apply knowledge of architectural theory, culture, design pedagogy and legislation toward professional practice and entrepreneurial activity in the field of architecture.
- Implement graphic techniques using a wide variety of traditional and digital media, to explain the architectural design process.
- Understanding to initiate and lead a team collaboratively in the process of conceiving, developing and implementing solutions to problem in architecture.

- Obtained LAM Part 1 accreditation;
- Attained an overall grade 'B' and above for the Architectural Design Studio course in the final semester of the undergraduate degree programme;
- Completed a minimum of six (6) months of working experience upon completion of the undergraduate degree;
- Pass competency interview (Interview, portfolio & technical drawing test).
- Obtained LAM Part 1 accreditation;
- Attained an overall grade 'B-' and below for the Architectural Design Studio course in the final semester of the undergraduate degree programme;
- Completed a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of working experience upon completion of the undergraduate degree;
- Pass competency interview (Interview, portfolio & technical drawing test).
- Candidates with CGPA or 3.00 and above;
- Obtained LAM Part 1 accreditation;
- Attained an overall grade 'B' and above for the Architectural Design Studio course in the final semester of the undergraduate degree programme;
- Completed a minimum of twelve (12) months of working experience upon completion of the undergraduate degree;
- Pass competency interview (Interview, portfolio & technical drawing test).
English Requirements
- A band 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) ( Academlc); or
- A score of 550 paper based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total or a score of 80 for internet-based total for Test of Engllsh as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); or
- Band 4 and above in the Malaysian University Engllsh Test (MUET); OR
- A score of 42 and above in the Pearson Test of Academlc English (PTE Academic:); or
- A grade 'C' and above in English for General Certificate of Education (A Level), English of Cambridge; or
- A Grade 'C' and above In the Cambridge Assessment English: First (FCEJ); or
- A Grade 'C' and above in the Cambridge Assessment English: Advanced (CAE); or
- A Grade 'C' and above in the Cambridge Assessment English: Proficiency (CPE).
For Malaysian Students
- A Band 3 and above in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Bahasa Malaysia Requirements
- Candidates shall be required to possess at least a Pass In Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Malaysla at the level of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
